Thomas Blackshear -- New Releases

World-class illustrator Thomas Blackshear and Willitts Designs introduced Thomas Blackshear's Ebony Visions in April 1995 with the release of six designs. Because they were the first designs ever released in the Ebony Visions collection, the 1995-1996 releases are demanding extremely high secondary market prices. If you can afford to purchase these items now, they will most definitely be a worthwhile investment. If you were lucky enough to obtain these items at original price, hold on to them for dear life-you have scored the collectibles investment of a lifetime!

Since the first six designs, Blackshear has created many new designs to add to the collection. The elegant style of Thomas Blackshear's Ebony Visions is a blend of both Art Nouveau and African American culture. Blackshear calls his style Afro-Nouveau.

Thomas Blackshear's Ebony Visions collection is a master work of romantic symbolism. As with his paintings, these sculptures demonstrate Blackshear's incredible sense of design, unique eclectic style, and extraordinary mastery of color. Elegant drapery and delicate detail tantalize the eye while revealing each sculpted form.
