Yes, it is. We are very serious about securely processing your order and securing your sensitive information. In response, significant time and money have been invested to certify that our website is PCI DSS compliant. From annual on-site assessments validating compliance to continuous risk management, we work hard to ensure our shopping cart software is secure.

What is PCI DSS Compliance?

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is an information security standard for organizations that handle credit card and debit card information. Defined by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, the standard was created to increase controls around credit card data to reduce credit card fraud via its exposure. If you want to securely sell online and accept payments from Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit cards, your software and hosting has to be PCI compliant.

How do you ship and how long will it take to receive my order?

We ship via US Mail and our delivery time is 7-10 days after you place your order.

How long will it take to receive my order if I live overseas?

For international orders, we will only ship to the billing address for the credit card and the delivery time may take up to 3-4 weeks. 

How will I know when my order has shipped?

When your order ships you will receive a shipping confirmation email along with the tracking number.

How can I check the status of my order?

You can create an account and then click the Log in link at the top of our site to log in and check the status of your order. (Remember, you have to create an account before you can log in).

The status of my order is unfulfilled. What does that mean?

Unfulfilled simply means your order has not shipped yet. The status will change to fulfilled as soon as it ships.

Can I pay with a check or money order?

Yes, you can place your order on the website and choose money order as the payment option. Then mail your check or money order to the address below. Make the payment to: Kanes Publications. If you mail in a check please be aware that it may take 5-7 business days for your check to clear. We do not offer COD. If we don't receive your check or money order within 10 days your order will be automatically cancelled.

How do I change quantities or cancel an item in my order?

You will have to contact us to make a change or cancel an order that has already been placed. You can email us at: kanespub@outlook.com or you can call us at 813-643-1160.

How do I track my order?

You will receive a shipping confirmation email and the tracking number when your order ships. If you missed the email you can log into your account and get the tracking number.   

The tracking info says my order was delivered but I don't have it.

If the tracking indicates your order was delivered but you don't have it, below are a few measures you can take:
1. Check with other members of your household to see if someone has it.
2. Check with your neighbors to see if the package was delivered to them.
3. If you live in an apartment complex, the package may have been left with the management personnel, so you should check with them.
4. Most packages are shipped via US Mail. If you can't locate a package, which the tracking number indicates was delivered, you will need to speak with the Post Master at your local Post Office and give him/her the tracking number. He will speak with his delivery person and conduct the necessary research to figure out what happened to the package. Sometimes the delivery person will take the package back to the Post Office but might forget to leave a note to tell someone to come and pick it up.
5. If the Post Master can't locate the package, please contact us.
6. We don't automatically reship an order if the tracking indicates it was delivered to the address provided.
7. If we reship, in lieu of issuing a refund, we may not reship to the same address, so you may have to provide a different shipping address.

An item is missing from my shipment.

If you ordered multiple items, they may ship separately. The packing slip with your order will indicate if some items are shipping separately. If the packing slip indicates all items shipped, contact customer service.

I received the wrong item.

How do I create an account?

Click the "Sign Up" link at the top of our site. Then follow the prompts to complete setting up your account. Your information is kept completely private. Please view our Privacy Policy for more information.

I forgot my password.

Click the "Log in" link at the top of our site. Under the customer login box you'll see a link that says "Forgot your password?" Click the link and we will reset your password and send you an email.

How much are the shipping charges?

We use a shipping chart based on the amount of your order. The shipping amount is calculated and displayed prior to submitting your payment information. Simply add items to your cart and proceed to the checkout page.

Do you ship to my country?

Please create an account by clicking the "Sign Up" link at the top of our site. During signup we will ask for your shipping address including your country. If your country is not in the dropdown menu of available countries, unfortunately we cannot ship to your country at this time.

How much is international shipping?

The international shipping amount is calculated and displayed prior to submitting your payment information. Simply add the items to your cart and proceed to the checkout page and enter your shipping information. Our system will calculate your shipping charges before you have to submit your payment.

What are my payment options?

We accept all major credit cards and Pay Pal.

What company name will appear on my credit card statement?

Kanes Publications will be the company name on your credit card statement.

Can I pay with a check or money order?

Yes, you can place your order on the website and choose money order as the payment option. Then mail a check or money order to the address below. Make the payment to: Kanes Publications. If you mail in a check please be aware that it may take 5-7 business days for your check to clear. We can't ship your order until we receive your payment. We do not offer COD.

 

Quick Overview Of Our Return Policy:

It's A Black Thang.com offers returns and exchanges for most items within 30 days of receipt of the shipment. Returns must be initiated through our Returns Manager System (RMS). Just follow the steps within the RMS and you can easily process and track your return. The RMS will automatically generate a Return Authorization number (RA#) and you can login to your account at any time to view the progress of your return.

Please review our Return Policy below and then CLICK HERE to access our Returns Manager System and begin processing your return. You will need your order number and either your email, phone number or delivery zip code to begin the process.


Below is an overview of our return policy:

- All artwork sales are final. We do not accept returns on any of the artwork. If you have a question about a print, you need to contact us before you place your order. 

- Apparel items must be returned within 7 days of receipt. (see below for more info on returning apparel items.)

With the exception of apparel items, you can return items (other than artwork) within 30-days for a refund or a store credit.

- Between the 31 and 60 day period you can only return an item for a store credit.

- We cannot accept any returns after 60-days.

- If the reason for the return was our fault we will pay for the return shipping.

- If the reason for the return was due to a damaged or inoperable item we will pay for the return shipping.

- We will provide a UPS return label and you may need to print the label.

- If the reason for the return was not our fault we will not provide a return label.

- If the value of the items are $150 or higher the package must be insured.

Damaged Items: If you receive a damaged item we will need you to upload photos of the item and photo's of the shipping container (if it's also damaged). The photo's will help to speed up the claim process. The instructions for uploading the photo's are within the RMS guidelines. Please retain all product packaging (boxes, etc) in case the courier would like to inspect them.

Apparel Items: Apparel items must be in a new, unaltered and unused condition. We can't accept clothing that has been worn or altered in any way. Refunds and exchanges for clothing items are contingent upon the inspection of the items once we receive them.

Artwork: We do not accept returns on any of the artwork. Please be sure of your purchase before you finalize the transaction. If you have any questions about the item you want to purchase, you need to contact us before you place your order. All artwork sales are final.

Jewelry Items: Jewelry and watches that have been re-sized, damaged or otherwise altered after delivery will not be accepted for return.

Restocking Fees: All returns must be processed through our Returns Manager System (RMS). There may be a 15% restocking fee for items returned without obtaining the Return Authorization number that is generated through the RMS.

Shipping and Handling Fees: Shipping and Handling fees are not refundable unless the reason for the return is our fault. If you provided an incorrect shipping address that results in an "undeliverable" package, and you would like to have the package resent, you will incur the additional reshipping charges. If a package is returned to us because the recipient never picked it up from the Post Office, you will have to repay the shipping charges before we can reship it to you.

Refunds: Refunds are processed within 2-3 days after we receive the returned merchandise.

Who Pays For Return Shipping?: If you need to return an item because of something that was our fault we will send a return label and issue a full refund. 

If you need to return an item for something that was not our fault you will have to pay to send it back and you will be issued a refund for the purchase price of the item only.
